Let me dream of a beautiful rainbow family...of big, brown eyes with bouncing curls...of smiling blue eyes and golden hair...of sleepy eyes and raven tresses...
Born worlds apart,
yet altogether in mama and daddy's heart. Lord, please fill our home with smiling faces of little people from different places.

About the title

Rainbows are promises and how I want my life to focus on the Mountains of Rainbows!  On one of the nights when the clouds were hanging low and tears were mixing with the rain I penned my far off dream. The only silver lining on the clouds. Here it is:

Let me dream of a beautiful rainbow family...
of big, brown eyes with bouncing curls.
of smiling blue eyes and golden hair.
of sleepy eyes and raven tresses.
                               Born worlds apart
                               yet altogether in Mother's heart.
Lord, please fill our home with smiling faces
with little people from different places.

So here we are on a journey to our Rainbow family. We have our vanilla and our strawberry. On our way to find our chocolate! Rainbows have always been special to me. They were there in my frustrated teenage years. Each rainbow displaying promise. When we found out we would have no more children something whispered about a Rainbow family, while a friend witnessed a lovely sunset where the heavy clouds were silver-lined. She knew we would find the silver-lining. When I was born and the rollercoaster days surrounding her birth a beautiful rainbow lit up the dark sky. My mom saw it driving to the hospital and couldn't believe her eyes when she saw that the hospital's name was "Promise Regional". Promises. Lord, keep my eyes on the Rainbows.
