Introduction

   Well, I wish I would have started this blog many years ago, but finally you have to start somewhere. I really want to be able to look back at this adoption journey. To introduce us: My sweetheart and husband and I have one bio son (age 2 1/2 yrs.) and one adopted daughter (age 1 1/2 yrs.). Yes, I am a busy mom and no, I do not have time to blog, but I love to write, so maybe this blog will vent my yearnings to write! Isabel's adoption was a miracle that we thank God for every day. The details of that would fill a volume. We live at almost 8000' in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. A long way from anywhere, but we love it!
   I am a stay at home mom and love it. I raise Akitas( www.littlebearakitas.com ) and have a passion for the Akita breed. I am a student of Natural Horsemanship, learning with my horses. I love flowers and vegetable gardening. Anything to do with the outdoors or animals I'm in!
   M is an excellent professional builder of houses. He loves sports (and excels in every one!). He also loves to hunt here in our mountains.
    We are both outdoor lovers. We love the mountains and make sure they know it! We hike, trailride, or pack with the horses. Before we had children we climbed many 14ers (peaks over 14000 ft.) here in Colorado.  We love to go camping and often go during hunting season. We play lots of softball in the summer and hockey in the winter. We live a full and blessed life surrounded and supported by many dear friends.
